Copper & Kings American Brandy Company
Copper and Kings hands down wins best distillery experience I have ever had along with one of the coolest venues I have visited. Copper and Kings is a American Brandy Company that also produces gin, absinthe along with distillaré, butters and Garnishes. Their bright orange and black are well known in the Louisville area. They have taken old shipping crates and turned them into rooms used for gift shops and more. As you enter the patio like area they have everything from giant jenga, to ping pong tables, to fire pits and even a moat, yes a moat. The place is very spacious and perfect for a large gathering or even a wedding reception! Now on to the tour, as we entered the warehouse you learn so much about the history and about the staff but I will save that for them to explain if you ever check out the tour! Something unique they do is create many barrels of different flavor mixes that are only available for a few months and then gone forever! You are able to try a few of them and even purchase your own little bottle of them which is really great because it's a kind you'll never be able to get again. Now not to ruin anything but something really amazing that Copper and Kings does is use music to help the distilling process of their product. They put together different playlists for different events, holidays, staff birthdays and more and they blast the music so loud that it actually shakes the barrels. During the store you actually get to go between the barrels and feel them shake. I won’t go into detail on how it all works because I’m no expert but it was very fascinating! The tour finishes on their skydeck, ALEX&NDER which is absolutely stunning. Their bottles cover the bar walls and their patio has a gorgeous view and cozy feeling
